  • In Her Season is a women’s media and conversation brand built around honest conversations about the things women are thinking, feeling and living, but don’t always know how to say out loud.

We’re interested in what sits beneath the surface, the question behind the question, the person behind the profession and the reality behind the milestone.

Through real women’s stories, meaningful conversations and trusted professional insight, In Her Season makes space for the experiences women are often expected to navigate without enough information or conversation.

  • Women move through so many seasons of change, motherhood, identity, relationships, fertility, loss, health, career changes, starting again and the seasons we don’t always have a name for.

Too often, we’re expected to simply work it out.

In Her Season exists to make those conversations easier to find and easier to have.

We talk about the questions women are scared or embarrassed to ask, the feelings we wonder if we’re allowed to have and the experiences that look one way from the outside but feel completely different on the inside.

We don’t pretend to have all the answers. We listen to real experiences, ask honest questions and invite trusted professionals to help us understand the things many women were never taught about their bodies, minds and lives.

Because sometimes hearing another woman say it first is what helps us realise:

“Thank God. It’s not just me.”

  • Emily Muraca
Owner and Host of In Her Season, The Alba Moon Podcast

Emily is the owner and host of In Her Season, leading the podcast into a new chapter for Season Three.

She brings her own lived experience, curiosity and a willingness to ask the questions another woman may be thinking but hasn’t known how to say out loud.

Emily doesn’t pretend to have all the answers. She listens closely, stays curious and looks for the conversation underneath the first answer.

She is also the founder of Alba Moon, where she supports women through pregnancy, postpartum and the transition into motherhood.

“Sometimes it only takes one person to really see you and hear you for your whole world to change.

You start seeing things differently. Hearing things differently. And slowly, you start living differently too.

That’s why these conversations matter to me. I’m a mum, a woman and someone still figuring things out too.

When someone shares something and you think, ‘I’ve felt that too. I just didn’t know how to say it,’ it can help you feel a little less alone.

Some episodes will speak to you. Others might not, and that’s okay. We’re all in different seasons, and what we need to hear can change along the way.

My hope is that somewhere in these conversations, you find something that helps you feel seen, understood or a little more confident to take your next step.”

    Emily

  • Seasons One and Two of In Her Season were co-hosted by Emily Muraca and Alana Linklater.

Across those first two seasons, women generously shared their stories and opened conversations about motherhood, health, identity, relationships and the different seasons life asks us to navigate.

Season Three begins a new chapter for In Her Season. Hosted and led by Emily, the podcast continues to make space for real women’s experiences, honest questions and trusted professional insight, while growing beyond the podcast into live conversations, events, editorial storytelling and partnerships.

  • Hosted and led by Emily Muraca, Season Three brings together honest conversations, personal stories from women in our community and beyond, and trusted professionals helping us understand the things many of us were never taught.

Some episodes begin with a woman generously sharing what she has lived. Others begin with a question Emily has been quietly wondering herself.

Every conversation looks beneath the surface, exploring the questions women are scared or embarrassed to ask, the experiences that feel different on the inside from how they look on the outside, and the things women deserve to hear more about.

Season Three is proudly presented by La Trobe University.

  • In Her Season is growing beyond audio into live conversations, events, panels, editorial storytelling, social content and meaningful partnerships.

Through In Her Season Live, we bring honest conversations into communities, workplaces and organisations, creating space for women to hear real stories, ask questions and connect with experiences they may recognise in themselves.

Our editorial and social content allow those conversations to continue after an episode or event has ended.

We also work with aligned organisations and businesses that want to contribute meaningfully to conversations that matter to women. Every partnership must make sense for our audience and protect the trust at the heart of In Her Season.
